Here lie the island's ancient roots and silent spirits in the profound silence of its shadowed subtropical forests and the lightless depths. We invite you to discover the unseen Okinawa.

Beautifully
Finite

True value lies not in stasis but in the cycle of life. We cherish what is beautifully finite. Unlike inorganic stones our materials are crafted from nature's cycle. Born from the earth and the sea they react to your environment. They will mature develop unique patinas and change texture over time. Eventually they are destined to return to nature. Embrace the profound reality of the ephemeral.

Ocean Jade

Yakogai

True to its Japanese name meaning "luminescent shell" (Yakogai), this large marine snail conceals a mysterious, iridescent brilliance within its nacreous layers. Found in shallow coral and rocky reefs, this exquisite material has been esteemed for centuries as the ultimate medium for Raden (mother-of-pearl inlay). Shaved into impossibly thin layers, the shell fragments shift in color like a rainbow depending on the angle of light, creating an ethereal beauty against lacquered darkness.

During the Ryukyu Kingdom era, it was used lavishly in the finest lacquerware crafted for Shuri Castle furnishings and as tributes to Chinese Emperors. Its surpassing beauty and craftsmanship can still be seen today in historical artifacts designated as National Treasures, establishing its timeless value as a true "Jewel of the Sea" passed down through the ages.

Ryukyu Ebony

Kokutan

Often referred to as the "diamond of woods," Ebony is characterized by its extreme hardness, dense grain, and the beautiful, lustrous obsidian finish that emerges with polishing. Due to its robustness and profound presence, it is used for the highest quality furniture and altars, becoming heirloom pieces inherited across generations.

In Okinawa, Ebony holds a special significance as the material for the neck of the Sanshin, an instrument that stirs the soul of its people. Sanshin crafted from the finest Ebony are particularly revered for their exceptional resonance, cherished by master musicians. Its durability only deepens with time, possessing the dignity of true precious wood that walks alongside the history of its owner.

Ishigaki Beef Bone

Ishigaki Gyukotsu

Blessed with a warm climate and rich natural environment, Ishigaki Island has long been known as a producer of high-quality Wagyu. The true value of "Ishigaki Beef" lies not only in its rarity but in its history. For many years, these cattle have been shipped nationwide as Motoushi (origin cattle or calves) for Japan's most prestigious brands, including Matsusaka and Kobe beef. In essence, many of Japan's top-brand cattle trace their ancestral roots back to the strong bloodlines nurtured on Ishigaki Island.

The "bone" that has supported this peak vitality from within is a crystallization of the energy nurtured by the tropical sun and earth. This incredibly dense and hard material gains a rich, deep patina with age, radiating an unparalleled, powerful presence. Possessing the distinguished background as the origin of Japanese fine cattle, Ishigaki Beef bone is more than just a material; it holds a rare value, akin to holding the powerful nature of the tropics itself.
